Refund policy

At Mediterranean Gourmet we offer a 15-day return policy for all non-perishable items. Customers have 15 days after receiving such items to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, undamaged, unopened and sealed, and in its original packaging. You will also need your receipt or proof of purchase.

To request a return, you may contact us at customercare@mediterraneangourmet.com.au. If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Please note, items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you have received the wrong item, so that we may evaluate and rectify the issue and any concerns.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including all perishable foods from our delicatessen (cheeses, frozen food, chilled food), bulk products (such as our 5L, 10L and 17L olive oil), and products sensitive to heat (such as our chocolates). Please get in touch if you have further queries about any other items.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
We are happy to offer exchanges for non-food items such as our olive oil cruets, bottles, fusti and canisters, provided they remain undamaged. All our exchanges are handled by email so please email us customercare@mediterraneangourmet.com.au in the first instance and we will process your exchange once the return item is accepted.


Refunds
Once we have received a refund item it will be inspected for damage and you will be informed if the refund has been approved or has not been approved. For all approved refund items, an automatic refund will be applied to your original payment method. Please note it may take some time for banks, or credit card institutions to process refunds.
